International Cooperation
The Central Election Commission (hereafter CEC) actively maintains the professional relations with the election bodies of the state members of the CIS and other countries as well as other international organisations undertaking the activities in the sphere of elections.
The CEC has been a member of the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) from 2013.
The members of the CEC and its staff regularly take part in overseeing the elections and referendums of the other countries, as well as in conferences, meetings, workshops on election topic that are conducted by the election bodies and international organisations.
The participation in these events allows the commission to bring the unbiased information about the electoral system of the Republic of Belarus and the results of the electoral campaigns held in the country to the notice of the international community.
The CEC continuously invites the representatives of the central election bodies of the neighbouring countries for overseeing the elections in the Republic of Belarus. The CIS monitoring missions work on all the national-level elections in Belarus.
The international cooperation gives the opportunity for the election bodies to share the experience and obtain the complete and credible information about the tendencies in the electoral sphere, the directions of changing of the electoral legislation, the ways of improvement of the electoral procedures and the informational and technological means implemented on the electoral procedures in different states.
